Man Utd sign RB Leipzig striker Sesko for £74m
Manchester United have made a major move in the transfer market by signing RB Leipzig striker Sesko for a reported fee of £74m.
The highly-rated 22-year-old has been in sensational form for Leipzig this season, scoring 25 goals in all competitions.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expressed his delight at securing the services of Sesko, who is seen as one of the most promising young talents in European football.
“We are thrilled to have signed Sesko and believe he will be a valuable addition to our squad,” said Solskjaer.
The deal represents a major statement of intent from United as they look to challenge for major honours in the coming seasons.
Sesko will join a star-studded attacking lineup at Old Trafford, alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.
Leipzig were initially reluctant to part ways with their prized asset but ultimately decided to cash in on Sesko due to financial constraints.
The striker is expected to join his new teammates in pre-season training ahead of the upcoming campaign.
United fans will be eagerly anticipating the impact that Sesko can make as they look to mount a serious title challenge.
Only time will tell whether the hefty price tag for Sesko will prove to be worth it for Manchester United.
