Rodri has had injury setback, says Guardiola
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that midfielder Rodri has suffered an injury setback, dealing a blow to the team’s title hopes.
Guardiola revealed in a press conference that Rodri has been struggling with a muscle injury and is set to be sidelined for the upcoming matches.
“Unfortunately, Rodri has had a setback in his recovery process and will be out for a few more weeks,” Guardiola said.
The Spanish midfielder has been a key player for City this season, providing stability in the midfield and contributing to the team’s success.
His absence will be a big loss for City as they look to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
Guardiola expressed his disappointment at losing Rodri to injury but remained optimistic about the team’s chances of coping without him.
“We have a strong squad with talented players who can step up in Rodri’s absence. We will adapt and continue to fight for the title,” Guardiola added.
City will have to rely on the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan to fill the void left by Rodri’s absence in the midfield.
Despite the setback, Guardiola remains confident in his team’s ability to overcome challenges and achieve their goals this season.
The City manager urged fans to stay positive and support the team as they navigate through this difficult period without Rodri.
